About HushPDF

Private by design

  • Files are processed in your browser — never uploaded, tracked, or stored.
  • Free & open source (MIT) — audit, self-host, or fork it.

Limitations

  • Password-protected PDFs aren’t supported.
  • Up to 50 MB per file (150 MB total when merging).
  • It edits the finished PDF, not the Word or design file it was made from.
  • Forms, annotations, or signatures may not carry over when pages are copied.
  • Signatures are images (e-signatures), not certificate-based digital signatures.
  • Typed text supports Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Bengali, Devanagari and Arabic.
  • Compression helps most with scanned or image-heavy PDFs.
  • OCR (beta) downloads a language model on first use; your pages stay on your device.

Fill PDF forms

Fill PDF forms, scans & photos

How it works

Complete a fillable PDF in a clean, simple form view, or type answers anywhere on a scanned form or a photo (JPG, PNG), then download it as a PDF.

  1. Add a PDF form, or a JPG or PNG of a paper form or exam sheet.
  2. Fill in the fields — they’re grouped by page next to a preview. For images and PDFs without fields, click the page to type answers, dates or a signature where they belong.
  3. Optionally turn on “Flatten form” to lock the answers.
  4. Choose “Save filled PDF” and download it.

Questions

My form is a scan, photo or PDF without fillable fields — can I still fill it?

Yes. Add the JPG, PNG or PDF and you can place text, dates and a signature anywhere on the page. The result is saved as a PDF.

What does flattening do?

Flattening turns the filled fields into regular page content. Everyone sees exactly what you entered, and nobody can edit the answers afterwards.

Can I fill in Bengali, Hindi or Arabic?

Yes. Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Bengali, Devanagari and Arabic are supported — the right font is added automatically. A field that mixes scripts (e.g. Bengali and English) can be saved but not flattened yet.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Every operation runs locally in your browser using JavaScript (pdf-lib, with page previews from PDF.js). Your documents are never transmitted to us or to any third party, and there are no accounts, watermarks, or file-retention tricks. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools still work.
